Seattle Impact Hall is excited to announce that we are joining a growing, global movement of organizations who are dedicated to the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Commonly known as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), these “17 goals to transform our world” are a powerful call to action that aims to unify and mobilize people, organizations, and nations to “end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all”.
What might this look like at Seattle Impact Hall? Here’s an example:
We have a lot of members working in the education space – in a variety of ways. We have long-time members developing an educational technology platform like Actively Learn, we’ve seen the creation of a new leadership incubator program for principals from School Foundry, and we’ve watched the field of global experiential education evolve thanks to the work of member Vicki Weeks.
While each of these companies is making an impact on the field of education in their own way, what happens when we convene everyone working in the field of education in one place?
We’re excited to find out on Friday, April 13th, at our the first “Ed Talk” – a convening of members working on Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning.
We are confident that we can help establish relationships among people who are working within each of the Sustainable Development Goals and create aligned programs that are designed to convene, inspire and educate
Help us map our community by filling out this form and selecting the primary SDG that you are focused on (or just interested in!). As we collect the data, we will be simultaneously aligning our programming and events to individual SDGs, and you’ll be the first to know when there is an upcoming program or event within your interest area.
